About Lynn

I am so glad that you have made it to my website. My passion and intention in life is to help human beings discover and embrace the full range of their emotional, spiritual and soul gifts. I love collaborating with a diversity of individuals to help them move towards realizing their authentic hopes and dreams.

I am deeply dedicated to the healing path of mind-body psychotherapy and believe so much in the work that I (and we) can do together. I have helped many clients feel more balanced, whole and satisfied with their lives.

I believe that when people are provided a safe space and place to recognize their innate potential for growth and healing, a more successful and full life begins to emerge. I would love to meet you and learn more about what you want out of your life!

My qualifications…

I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work with a concentration in mental health from the University of Southern California (Deans Scholar, Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society) and my Bachelor’s Degree is in Psychology and Spanish (Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society).

I have specialized training in Somatic Experiencing® with the Foundation for Human Enrichment, and hold a Wellness Certification in Somato (Body) Respiratory (Breath) Integration™.

I regularly attend seminars and workshops to enrich my understanding of mind-body psychotherapy and healing methods that nurture sustainable emotional, spiritual and physical change. I have studied with some of the top mind-body clinicians in the country.

I have been entrusted to attend to individuals strongly considering ending their lives, couples on the verge of separation/divorce, adolescents harming themselves physically, as well as children experiencing emotional and physical overwhelm and distress as a result of abuse. I have been honored and blessed to work in partnership with many ethnically diverse and culturally rich individuals, families, couples and groups over the years.

Continuing Education

Because I am so passionate about the work that I do, I regularly commit myself to learning new information through personal and professional workshops, books, and collaborating with colleagues and like-minded professionals.

Most recently I became one of the first individuals to be granted formal certification as a Somato Respiratory Integration™ (SRI) Wellness Educator. This profound body awareness technique (SRI), founded and developed by Dr. Donald Epstein, is an incredibly powerful addition to my clinical work. And, I am so excited that this simple yet effective approach to personal transformation can be used as a self-help tool in your own private time!

To more fully understand SRI, I encourage you to read the description found on this website. I am looking forward to providing personal as well as group SRI sessions in the near future. These events will be posted on my website. SRI is a vehicle that can move people from feeling stuck, angry, and sad, to feeling courageous, powerful and full of intention and focus.

I am also committed to enriching my personal and spiritual life on a regular basis, which includes a meditation practice, deep breathing techniques, bodywork, service work and time spent in community with friends and loved ones.

These activities enable me to attend to my own emotional and wellness needs so that I can remain focused, encouraging and centered in my work with you. You can expect to be honored and supported fully throughout our work together.

Engaging in regular Network Spinal Analysis (NSA) care, a healing approach to wellness and body awareness, has also nurtured my ability to remain focused and present in my work with clients. I am so pleased to share that I also work with my husband, Dr. Matt Lyon, DC at the Network Wellness Center of Charlotte, where I function as the Somato Respiratory Integration™ Wellness Educator.

I love what I do and experience so much joy in being of service to others and witnessing people realize that they do have the inner wisdom and resources to make sustainable emotional and physical changes.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both North Carolina and the state of California.
